Ramtin Mobasheri

FOUNDER/TUTOR/MENTOR

Ramtin graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pepperdine University with a Masters in Business Administration. There, he earned a dual concentration in Entrepreneurship and Leading & Managing Organizational Change. While attending Pepperdine University, he received a SEER Certification for completing courses in Socially, Environmentally, and Ethically Responsible Business Strategy. He was also the Vice President of Net Impact, a club that provides practical tools and knowledge on how to maximize positive business impact. He currently serves as an IT Project Manager and Business Professor at Pepperdine University. Ramtin received his Undergraduate Degree from University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. Ramtin spent the majority of his time at UCLA taking advanced level Math and Science courses. His extracurricular time was spent tutoring, shadowing Physicians, and conducting scientific research, connecting the rise in Autism among adolescents to the poor air quality within Metropolitan cities. This passion allowed Ramtin to be the Founder of a 501(c)3 non-profit called forReza, which helps underprivileged children who have Autism. Ramtin’s tutoring background has spanned for over five years now, in a wide range of subjects, from Mathematics and Science to History and essay writing. Tutoring students from the Kindergarten to second year University, he has built rapport with his students that have been with him from the beginning. His intense discipline and concrete organizational skills allow him to have a high sense of time management. This, with the combination of his diligence and patience, allows him to be an effective tutor and mentor, adapting to the styling techniques of his students.

Vishal graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Sciences. During his time at UCLA, he took a variety of Biology courses that delved deep into the intricacies of scientific discovery and the human body on a micro and macro scale. Much of his extracurricular time was spent as a tutor, a mental health mentor, and a student athletic trainer for UCLA Athletics. His interests in patient care and the holistic human body has driven him to pursue a career in medicine. As a tutor, Vishal has worked with students on a variety of topics ranging from Physics to Biochemistry throughout his final three years of college. He believes in catering to each student’s mental model and building off of the foundations that each student has learned in the past. Vishal’s compassion, patience and optimism helps create an approachable and open learning environment.

Fatima graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, Riverside, with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. In her upper-division courses, she gained a unique perspective on how vital core concepts in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are. While at UCR, she focused on refugee career enrichment, teaching English, and educating the student population as the President of the Refugee Advocacy Club. Ultimately, the interconnectedness of different disciplines fueled her passion for tutoring, encouraging her to continue as a Biology Supplemental Instructor in college. Overall, she emphasizes finding each student’s blind spots and creating a lesson plan that fits them and challenges them. With a balance of understanding, optimism, and review, Fatima believes that any student can overcome their weaknesses and further develop their strengths.

Jodi K.

TUTOR/MENTOR

Jodi graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. During her undergraduate, Jodi had research experience working in a Microbiology lab, analyzing the microbial quality of poultry from small-scale production facilities. Jodi is a member of SAMS, a non-profit organization that provides free healthcare to disadvantaged patients and refugees. Her participation in campaigns, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities led her to pursue a medical career and attend PA school. As a tutor, Jodi worked as a Biology learning assistant, in which she mentored struggling Biology majors by giving them an in-depth understanding, moral support, and motivation. Jodi also taught junior programming at USC’s Computer Science Summer Camp, which prioritized students from underprivileged communities. By the end of the program, Jodi was able to contribute to the student’s newfound interest in STEM. Jodi believes in working with students at their own pace and explaining concepts suitable to each student’s learning style, as she believes every student is unique.

Ranjit N.

TUTOR/MENTOR

Ranjit graduated with a B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of California, Riverside and is currently a 4th year medical student at Saba University School of Medicine. He is planning on going into Internal Medicine and has had experience tutoring Mathematics, Biology, Physiology, Neuroscience, Reading and Writing. Ranjit has had research experience working in a cognitive neuroscience lab and a lab studying fetal alcohol syndrome. He has also had clinical research experience relating to COVID-19 transmission rates, Polycystic Liver Disease, and even peritoneal dialysis catheter placements. Before medical school, he volunteered at various hospitals and worked as a clinic and emergency department scribe. Ranjit loves tutoring students and is dedicated to furthering education in the lives of all future professionals. As fun a fact, he is certified in open water scuba diving and enjoys playing both tennis and basketball.

Kaitlyn P.

Kaitlyn graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Cognitive Science. During her tenure at UCLA, she participated actively in undergraduate research with prominent labs such as the Depression Grand Challenge and UCLA's Child FIRST Lab, where she published an Honors Thesis and conducted independent research. Outside of academics, she also served as the Vice President of the Mental Health Initiative and the Social Media Chair for the UCLA Equestrian Team and was an active member of the Vietnamese Student Union. Kaitlyn has extensive experience as a tutor and teacher, both privately and through internships such as the GPI Japan Empowerment Program, where she supported the learning and development of Japanese High School students. She is passionate about creating a warm and fun learning environment where students can grow their confidence and skills while growing their toolset. Kaitlyn's passion, warmth, and empathy make her an outstanding K-12 tutor in the areas of Biology, Psychology, and English.

Nathan K.

TUTOR/MENTOR

Nathan graduated with Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, and will attend the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry. He has had experience tutoring Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Spanish, and English. Nathan volunteers as a tutor for School on Wheels, which he co-founded at UCSB during his last year in college. Nathan has had research in a biochemistry lab, performing gene sequencing data analysis and researching articles related to C.elegans genetics and Barrett’s esophagus. Nathan’s hobbies include photography, guitar, and soccer.
